Supermoon and Libya

Libya said 103 people died when the Afriqiyah Airways plane crashed in Tripoli
Libya said 103 people died when the Afriqiyah Airways plane crashed in Tripoli

While a Supermoon hung over planet Earth tonight, the sound of explosions and gunfire rocked the city of Tripoli just before dawn, as Gadaffi continued to stage the Greatest Charade on Earth.
Witnesses reported intense bursts of anti-aircraft fire exploding over Gadaffi's palace in Tripoli in response to three large explosions in a row, now thought to be Tommahawk cruise missiles hitting just outside the city, While the anti-aircraft fire caused great alarm initially, it appeared to be much ado about nothing, most of it appearing to be cover-up fire as no planes seemed to be actually flying overhead at the time.
Once again...the Academy Award for best impersonation of an Evil Dictator goes to....the wily and wicked Moammar Gadaffi!
Rumours fly over social network sites - some say that Gadaffi has attempted to committ suicide, some that his barracks are under attack.
The Palace Gates of Bab Alazizya were reportedly wide open tonight, as speculation continues to fly and some wonder is Gadaffi's motive to use people as human shields, or as protection from airstrike.
Others say the anti-aircraft fire is for another fake broadcast over Libyan State TV, as 'the charade that is Gadaffi' drags on. State television is broadcasting stock shots of Libyan army power, and showing huge rallies that simply are not actually taking place, according to CNN.
Gadaffi spoke briefly and incoherently over the radio, and many did not believe it was his voice. Statements that sound forced and phony state that women and children and 'religious clerics' who were 'frightened' have been killed by Allied missiles.
A caller to CNN from Tripoli who is clearly taking an enormous risk describes the scene: the brave woman says that people were panicking, running into the streets to escape the sounds of explosions and gunfire.
"It's better to be out in the streets, not in the houses being shelled, "she states, adding that,
"It is Gadaffi we fear, not the Coalition - we are so grateful for their help - Gadaffi was killing everyone - we don't even know how many - he was stealing the bodies from the hospitals. With Gadaffi there are no limits - no limits to what he will do."
Earlier reports claimed that Benghazi was under fire from forces loyal to Gadaffi, however more recent tweets are saying the resistance stronghold is "calm and quiet, now safe tonight."
They had been heavily attacked last night by mercenaries who were laughing while firing into houses. Revolutionaries managed to beat them off after hours of combat, and now Benghazi is almost preternaturally quiet. as another day is about to dawn.
This dawn saw the tragic death of reporter, videographer, and freedom fighter Mohammed Nabbous, who we first saw when the Libyans encountered the ham-fisted reaction to their peaceful protest met with bullets on Feb.17th.
'TELL THE WORLD WHAT IS HAPPENING TO US!' Frantic Message From Libya http://bit.ly/ePAV5z
Some tweeters are questioning the whereabouts of Gadaffi's son Saif lately, as he has not been heard from for some time - which makes me think - it was actually afew days ago when tweets were saying he had been burned in a fire. The one caused when the brave hero fighter pilot defected and fired his last rounds into Gadaffi's stronghold.
The fighter pilot was hailed as a hero by numerous Tweets - nothing was mentioned in mainstream news.
Stunning Tweets from Resistance Claim Kamikaze Defected Pilot Hero crashes into Gadaffi stronghold http://bit.ly/glzn2O
To date I have not heard a thing about it in mainstream media, so cannot yet verify the story, however it seemed to have some basis in possibility - and now - people are asking - where is Saif?
One thing is clear about Gadaffi however, and that is that he is on extremely shifty sand these days, as this week has brought more stories of Libyan army continuing to defect in the droves. Resistance had gained numerous tanks, two fighter jets, and have managed to hold strong while the no-fly zone laboriously took shape.
Men in Libyan army uniforms were found shot in a large grave today, leading to the conclusion that they may have refused to participate in fulfilling orders to kill their countrymen.
British jets travelled 3,000 miles to hit air and defence targets, while French fighter planes were deployed to neutralize military bases. US missiles were fired on specifically targeted weapons sites, as "Odyssey Dawn" launched the International Coalition's offensive on Gadaffi
Most of the world has watched the events playing out in Libya today with baited breath, as we all prayed for the relief of the Libyan people. When news came that the French fighter jets were suddenly flying overhead as Benghazi was attacked by Gadaffi's grinning thugs, I know we were all feeling only a portion of the relief that must have been felt by the Libyan people, as their month-long struggle to defend themselves from the wrath of the madman is finally given some much-needed support from the world.
